Dr. Ali Imad Fadlallah, Principal, LinkedIn

Self-exploration and media are at the heart of Dr. Fadlallah’s inside-out approach to promoting a freer self and freer society. Ali’s journey began in Dearborn, MI, home to the most densely-populated region of Arabs/Muslims outside the Middle East. As a Lebanese-American Muslim, Ali fell victim to failing public schools plagued by Islamophobia and exacerbated by the 9-11 tragedy in his first days at Fordson High. Watching his father weather the storm of DPS as a turnaround principal lit a fire in Ali that led him from Fordson High to Harvard, where he earned his Doctorate in Education Leadership. At Harvard, Ali was trained in (and taught) Adult Development Psychology, before partnering with Annice to expand DCC’s work with leaders/teams nationwide. Ali’s background as a musician, coach, activist, speaker, and writer have equipped him with a diverse skill-set that he has offered an eclectic range of clients across the public and private sectors, including Live Nation, Better World Books, Kern County Schools, Harlem Children’s Zone, and more. Ali was recently funded by the Voqal Fellowship to launch “CleffNotes,” a Cliffs Notes-like service utilizing visual media. He is also writing a book about his experience in education called Prison of Minds, to be published by 2020. Check out the VoyageLA article on Dr. Fadlallah.
