In the past, we had no formal mechanism for screening resumes to onboard new hires, or even a consistent method for interviewing. This left strong candidates off our radar and wasted staff time in an arduous process. To combat this, DCC helped us develop a structured hiring process including a rubric that is used to recruit from diverse sources, screen resumes, schedule and conduct phone interviews, interview questions, hiring committee procedures, and in-person interviewing. This process provided equity with the selection process and guided our work with formality. Our new process has helped source more diverse and high quality candidates.
