Leading for Antiracism and Equity: Racial Incident Happened - Now What (Part 1)

Microaggressions, antiblackness, affinity biases and other forms of discrimination happen on a daily basis in our personal and professional lives. When they occur in big and small ways, people often struggle to know how to intervene. This two part series looks at how to address racial incidents that happen in a public space from a truth, healing, and reconciliation lens. We shared our A.C.T. N.O.W. Framework (download here!) which can be used at work and in our communal spaces.

Join us to learn how we simplify, magnify, and dignify the process for racial healing and reconciliation. We must act with urgency, with thoughtfulness, and with a desire to shift our environments to honor everyone’s humanity, regardless of their race.

You’ll leave with our A.C.T. for part 1, how to initially respond and N.O.W. for part 2, how to begin the healing process. The A.C.T. N.O.W. Framework provides an easy to use strategy for addressing racial harm, healing, and reconciliation in your team/organization.

This session was led by DCC’s founder & CEO Dr. Annice E. Fisher and DCC Affiliate Beverly Harris, Season Harassment and Discrimination Investigator.
